Hi, this is Levi Rhoades. I am a graduate from Duke University and visited South Africa as part of the DukeEngage Exchange Program during the 2017 summer vacation volunteering with Just Footprints Foundation as a camp counsellor.
Their ‘Camp Footprints’ program offers life-changing, memory-making experiences that help children whose young lives have been interrupted by serious illnesses such as cancer and HIV/Aids as well disabilities to reclaim their childhood, restore hope for the future and renew their sense of possibility.
Due to the Covid19 pandemic, so many children’s lives have been affected and disrupted, so I reached out to the team at Camp Footprints and they shared with me that camps could not take place this year due to Covid19. As the children will be going back to school in the next couple of weeks, I felt I would like to support Camp Footprints to ensure that the children can return to school with items they need to feel protected and safe at school.
Camp Footprints has ‘Back2SchoolBags’ which they would like to fill with essential items (see the collage of products for the bag). The cost of two ‘Back2School Bags’ is $50 and I want to help Camp Footprints ensure they can fill and distribute the bags for all 500 children who were going to be joining them as campers at the 10 scheduled camps during the year. With your help I know we can make this a reality.
I will start by donating the first $50 and here is my ‘Back2SchoolBag’ personal invitation to you.
Please donate $50 and encourage 4 of your friends, family, work colleagues to donate $50. Donations are 100% tax-deductible.
I would like to thank Ed Dean for offering his Climb for a Child Inc organization to accept donations on behalf of Camp Footprints. www.climb4achild.org
