Our Dream Home

There are no suitable campsites in South Africa for the children we serve. Our JFF dream is to have our very own custom-designed, eco friendly and universally accessible camp venue with all the facilities our special campers need and deserve.

Just Footprints Foundation has identified the perfect ‘Camp Footprints’. A unique bush camp space situated in the Dinokeng Big 5 Game Reserve just north of Pretoria. This camp facility will be the first-of-its-kind campsite in South Africa, entirely wheelchair- and environmentally- friendly with a staffed medical unit; and specifically designed to accommodate the needs of children living with serious health and life challenges and disabilities. We dearly wish to transform this bush space into an exciting, fun adventure camp with a therapeutic impact that will positively change the lives of children, who because of illness or traumatic life circumstances, have not been able to participate in normal childhood outdoor experiences.

Our 3 and 5 day Camp Footprints experience for 50 children and 25 trained camp crew includes accommodation, three wholesome meals a day (signed off by our camp dietician), vetted transport to and from camp for campers and crew, branded camp gear, a camp programme packed with fun, educational and cultural interactive excursions as well as volunteer crew training. To date, Just Footprints Foundation has hosted 93 camps for 4432 children with serious challenges and trained 1929 young adult camp crew to mentor and support the campers. 16 ‘camp on the move’ community outreaches engaging 1667 children and 380 staff have been presented at beneficiary organisations in Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal and the Western Cape.

Just Footprints Foundation (JFF) is a registered Non-Profit Organisation, a Public Benefit Organisation with Section 18A status and a Level 1 BEE Contributor.
