Camp 20

Meerhof School – Pretoria | Phiri Camp Kwalata in Dinokeng Big Five Game Reserve, Gauteng
February 2012
30 campers spent a fun weekend, not too far from home, with Reach For A Dream Foundation, their volunteers and Just Footprints at a Camp Sunshine Camp. The campers were given the opportunity to discover the amazing wilderness around them, to learn new skills, to develop self-confidence and to feel ‘free’. The camp encourages them to be fearless, to escape, fantasize and just to be carefree.

Camp 21

Paediatric Oncology Units at Chris Hani Baragwanath and Charlotte Maxeke Hospitals, Johannesburg | Phiri Camp Kwalata in Dinokeng Big Five Game Reserve, Gauteng
April 2012
23 campers spent the weekend away from the Paediatric Oncology Unit, with Reach For A Dream Foundation and their volunteers for fun and a difference of environment at a Camp Sunshine Camp in partnership with Just Footprints. And what an awesome place to be: a game farm, filled with the Big Five, sun, birds and laughter. Just Footprints Foundation’s camp gave them the opportunity to experience that which they would normally forgo due to their challenging circumstances. To escape and fantasise and to remember what it is to be a child – that was the special experience of each child attending the camp.

It was a 5 day camp in which they were able to develop confidence and enhance their self-esteem in a safe and nurturing yet fun environment: A Just Footprints Camp.

This is thanks to our friends at Port Shepstone Rotary Club.
